First Nations Communications Workshop

Resonant Strategic’s First Nations Communications Workshop is a 12-hour course delivered in four modules that provides learners with the skills they need to succeed in a communications role at a First Nations government or organization.   

This workshop is designed for people already working or planning to work in a First Nations government or organization. 

Dates: August 18, 20, 25 & 27 (4 modules; participants will attend all 4 sessions) 

Time: 9am – 12pm

Location: Online via Zoom

Workshop topics: 

• Introduction to communications and how to make a communications plan:
  Learn about the necessary elements for planning effective communications, including setting your objectives, identifying audiences, crafting key messages, and work planning.

• Reaching your audiences & measuring success:
  Discuss working with social media and other channels to reach your intended audiences and measure your reach through analytics and other metrics. Learn how to use CANVA to make engaging social media posts and posters. 

• Media relations 101:
  Gain understanding about how to work with broadcast and news media through building relationships with local and regional journalists. Learn how to write a news release and answer interview questions. 

• Basic project management:
  Discover the many aspects of working as a communications professional, including budget preparation, contract management, writing a project brief, and leading a project. 

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

Resonant Strategic’s First Nations Communications Workshop is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the workshop on the specified dates, you can request to transfer your payment to the next workshop dates (expected in February 2027).
